Moisture Meter for Pest Managers and Building Inspectors

Moisture meters are a vital tool for pest control operators and building inspectors to detect areas of moisture and leaks in walls and building structures – be it from leaking showers, leaking taps, rising damp or termite activity.
The moisture sensor in iTraker is sensitive, accurate and adjustable, maker iTraker a reliable and easy to use moisture meter. The ability to record moisture data on site with a date stamp and take photos of the area of concern, provides an auditable record of moisture readings at the time of the inspection.
iTraker Moisture Sensor
Relative and direct moisture
The iTraker moisture sensor can be used to provide relative and direct moisture readings on a variety of common building materials. Relative moisture is calculated based on a reference value which is automatically set during the calibration period after the sensor is turned on. It can also be set manually at any time by tapping the bar chart on the screen. The display can be switched between relative and direct moisture readings just by tapping the bar graph.
How does the moisture meter work?
The iTraker moisture sensor uses omni-directional technology (signals sent equally in all directions) to set up an electric field to find the level of conductance in a material. Changes in the level of conductance reflect moisture levels and are translated into the moisture reader readings. This is different from some specialised moisture meters which use an arc fashion of conductivity which is sent between two points on the moisture meter.
Relative moisture readings are displayed on a simple bar chart and direct moisture readings on easy-to-read dial. Atmospheric humidity is also displayed to allow interpretation of results. If desired, the moisture settings / sound alert levels can be adjusted for both relative and direct moisture readings, so the visible charts and audible warnings are relevant for your location and materials you are testing.
The iTraker moisture meter can penetrate up to 40mm / 1.5 inches, depending on the depth of material you are inspecting.
What data is captured?
Moisture data is captured just by tapping the screen, generating line graphs of both relative and direct moisture levels for the 10 second intervals prior to pressing the save button. This is ideal, as the iTraker has been designed to slide across an area of wall that covers unaffected and affected areas before pressing the save button. By then taking a photo of the wall from within the app, you can then annotate the location of concern on both the photo and moisture data charts, allowing an accurate record of the inspection with date stamp.
All captured data can be saved to TConnex withing the app for cloud reporting.
